NYS 47 Hour Firearms Training Course
NYS 8 Hour Annual Firearms Course


47 Hour COURSE DESCRIPTION: ONE NIGHT EACH WEEK (Tuesdays), 8 WEEKS

This is a basic course which fulfills all the New York State Armed Guard Mandatory 47 hour Firearms Training as required by the NYS Dept. of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS), when fully completed. All NYS basic requirements are taught, first in the classroom, then on the range (for those with NYS/NYC Pistol Permits). This course is an excellent introduction to firearms for the first time shooter. Classroom instruction includes firearm safety for revolvers, semi-autos, and long arms, basic fundamentals, nomenclature, use of physical force/deadly force, and a written test. Range sessions include basic shooting exercises, barricades, dim light shooting, reloading, and a proficiency test. A NYS approved certificate is issued upon successful completion of the 47hr course. A Classroom only certificate is also available for those interested.

HOW MUCH?:
Full 47 hour NYS course is $500. 8 Hour Annual Firearms Course is $100 (1 class & 1 range session). Payment plan & Group Discounts available.

Includes workbook & handouts, range fees, and Certificate. Students must bring own firearm (pending license students may rent), own leather gear, 500+ rds of ammo.Ear/eye protection, and Discount ammo available. Call for more info.


INSTRUCTORS: Jerry Heying,

CPP, PPS has over 30 years of Security experience and is a NYS Firearms/General Topics Instructor, NRA Security Firearms Instructor, Glock Instructor and Armorer, and has extensive worldwide training and experience in Executive Protection and Firearms Instruction. John Negus, Ret NYPD Sgt has over 30 years Law Enforcement and Security experience. Both Instuctors have training from NYPD, Heckler & Koch, Gunsite, Smith & Wesson Academy, Glock, International Chiefs of Police, National Rifle Association, Executive Protection Institute, Street Survival Seminars, Tony Scotti, and many others.
